And she ran singing, hoping her voice would
drown the bells, that they would fall under their own circles and choke. But the circles fell from the globe of the bell, vibrating and stretching out around her. She fell into tornadoes spinning underneath her, the tiny spirals burned imprints into her feet. She moved away from them, ran, and felt the lines moving up her legs, between her thighs, licking her. She felt herself slowing down from it, felt her faith waning and shrinking with abandon.
